From the Founder |
"In 2001 I co-founded Homestead High School's Annual Indian Culture Show in Cupertino,
CA. This milestone allowed me to influence the growth and interest of Bollywood dance
to local communities. Sapnay Dance allows me to bring each student closer to Bollywood
music, dance and culture all while focusing on technique and choreography. My key focus
is to gain the students interest which will allow them to enjoy dancing and share it
with others."
--Sejal Shah
Born in India and raised in California, dancing has been a part of Sejal's life since
the age of 5. It started with dancing to the tunes of Hindi Film songs which sparked an
interest to explore various styles of dance ranging from BharataNatyam, Kathak, Jazz,
Salsa, Bhangra, Folk Dance and her favorite Raas Garba. Sejal has choreographed and
performed in competitions & community events throughout California. She loves to simplify
a complex step and make it easy for anyone to learn whether it is a 4 year old or an
adult. She strongly believes that dancing doesn't stop in your dreams, it can be a
reality because everyone can dance, you just have to try! Check out Sejal's passion in
action by visiting the
